SELLING TIPS TO EARN TOP DOLLAR!
Due to the many items being sold we recommend that you price competitively. Think carefully before you price your items and price reasonably. If you have doubts, price lower or ask a friend. If you need assistance please feel free to email me.
Other TIPS:
Name brand sells the best and for the most. If you are selling non name brand items you need to price them extra low to ensure their sale.
· We expect to have many shoppers come during the ½ off sale. Mark as many of your items to be discounted as possible so you to have the opportunity to earn the most sales!
· If you are planning on donating unsold items it would be a good idea to go ahead and price in ½ off sale to give your items an extra chance to sell during the sale!
· Typically, we expect an abundance of infant and small baby items so remember, price to SELL (You may want to price them cheaper if you want them to sell in this case you may earn more selling in quantity).
· Spending a little "extra" time getting your items ready, a fresh wash, will mean more money for you! Present them at their best! Remove all stains.
· Clean, ironed and fresh smelling clothing sells better. (Shoppers notice the neatness of items and will purchase the items that look the best on the rack.)
· Close buttons, snap snaps and zip zippers. (It makes the clothing look better and shoppers are able to see that all buttons, snaps, zippers are in working order.)
· Sets tend to sell better than separates, if possible match your separates up. (Pair up a matching top and pair of shorts, blouse and skirt, etc...)
· Mend or repair any loose hems, buttons, etc. (Shoppers look items over very carefully.)
· Make sure all furniture, equipment and toys are clean. (A little soap and water goes a long way in the appearance of items and they will sell for more $.)
· Items with all of the pieces attached, sell much better and for more money for you! (Place small loose pieces in a zip lock bag, you may want to tape the top of the bag to secure the pieces.)
· Puzzles are easily packaged by wrapping in saran wrap and then sealing with packing tape on the back. (This keeps all the pieces together!.)
· Make sure batteries are included (The dollar stores sell batteries for $1.) Shoppers want to make sure the items they are purchasing are in working order.
· Most Dry Cleaners will give you wire coat hangers free or you can try Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart or even department stores. Coat hanger are available 12 for $1.00 at the Dollar Store. If you are having trouble obtaining coat hanger please email me, I will see if I can help you out. I will have a box with coat hanger in them from the items purchased for anyone who would like some to use for the next sale. However because of the nature I can not ensure you will get back the same hangers you used or the same amount.
